Annie Burgess received her BFA in Studio Arts and Art History at Concordia University in 2014 and has exhibited much of her work at galleries in Montreal, QC. After completing a 2016 residency for ceramics with Arquetopia in Puebla, Mexico, she moved back to Guelph, ON, her hometown. Currently she is teaching ceramics at the Guelph Community Pottery Centre and continues to produce her own artistic work at her studio located in the Alleyway Studios in Downtown Guelph. In 2019 she was awarded the Arquetopia Foundation 10th Anniversary Residency Scholarship in Cusco, Peru, and the Jane Graham Memorial Award in Guelph, ON.
As she is quite passionate about the therapeutic qualities of art, she is very enthusiastic about inspiring others to create as well. You are encouraged to contact her for a studio visit or private lessons.
